Soco a Soco

Soco a Soco is a Portuguese documentary that explores the life of Orlando Jesus, a boxer in 1970s Lisbon. The film presents an intimate portrait of Jesus to reflect the gritty atmosphere of the city during that era, focusing on the neighborhood gyms and the marginalized people who influenced a whole generation. Through the recording of voices and gestures, the film attempts to preserve a disappearing period of history and the environment that shaped its subject.
