Un été à la ferme - L'âge d'or is a French documentary centered on Paul, a twelve-year-old boy, and his brother Germain during a summer on their family's farm in rural northern France. Paul begins helping with the work of farming alongside his father, learning the first tasks of the trade, while the setting that has long felt like a playground gradually reveals the financial and physical difficulties his father faces in running the operation. What begins as an untroubled childhood summer becomes a confrontation with the family's circumstances and the question of whether Paul will follow the same path.
The film is directed by Hugo Willocq and produced by Richard Copans, with backing from CNC, Les Films d'Ici, Pictanovo and the Hauts-de-France region. It runs 100 minutes and was released in France on February 25, 2026.
