Eva

Eva is a drama and thriller about a mysterious woman who believes she is on a mission to protect children. After she sets a sunflower field on fire, she is arrested and tells the police that her actions are necessary to keep children safe. Her behavior and claims of seeing blue lights in the sky lead authorities to link her to several unexplained disappearances of young children in the area. While some children seem drawn to her, she eventually encounters a widowed beekeeper and his son, Nicola. A strong bond forms between the woman and the boy, leading her to help him search for his missing mother and resulting in life-altering discoveries.

The film was directed by Emanuela Rossi, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Stella Di Tocco. This is the second film directed by Rossi, following her 2019 project Darkness.
