Invasion U.S.A.

Invasion U.S.A. follows Matt Hunter, a former CIA operative living quietly in Florida, who is pulled back into action when a foreign agent named Mikhail Rostov and his mercenaries launch a series of attacks along the American coast. Hunter has history with Rostov, and both men are pursuing a personal score. As the disruption spreads and local authorities struggle to respond, Hunter works alone to track down the man behind it and stop his plans.

Joseph Zito directed the film, his fifth feature after The Prowler, Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, Missing in Action and before Red Scorpion. Chuck Norris stars as Hunter and co-wrote the screenplay with James Bruner; Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus produced through Cannon Group and Golan-Globus Productions. Richard Lynch plays Rostov, with Melissa Prophet, Alexander Zale, Alex Colon and Eddie Jones among the credited cast of 77, backed by a crew of 66.

Released on September 27, 1985, the film runs 107 minutes. Made for 12 million USD, it returned 18 million USD worldwide, a modest multiple of its cost. On IMDb it holds a rating of 4.4/10 from 21 reviews, while on TMDB it sits at 5.8/10 from 363 votes, so audiences there rate it appreciably higher than critics do.
