Short description

Armand Duplantis cleared the dream barrier of 6.30 m when he won World Championship gold in Tokyo – and just a few days later, Daniel Ståhl hurled the discus in pouring rain during the final round of the competition and became world champion. Jonna Sundling and Ebba Andersson achieved the grand slam at the Ski World Championships in Trondheim, while Sweden’s women’s national football team was eliminated from the European Championship after a penalty shootout drama in the quarterfinals.
