Shot Reverse Shot

Shot Reverse Shot is a documentary centered on the experiences of Edward Serotta, an American journalist who traveled through socialist Romania during the 1980s. The film explores his efforts to document the daily struggles and the Jewish community's existence within the country. This narrative is presented as a photographic study, contrasting Serotta's observations with the perspective of the secret service agents who secretly tracked his movements throughout the trip.

The film was directed by Radu Jude and Adrian Cioflâncă, with both men also serving as screenwriters. Within Radu Jude's body of work, this project follows his 2021 film Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn, as well as his 2023 release Do Not Expect Too Much from the End of the World and three films from 2025. Produced by Saga Film, the twenty-two minute production features the voices of Edward Serotta and Diana Mărgărit. The film was released on February 14, 2026.
