Set in 2025, this film examines a period of escalating global conflict involving military and civilian casualties that exceed 1.5 million people. The narrative focuses on the geopolitical tension as Europe faces a potential rupture with the United States under Donald Trump, who may prioritize a relationship with Vladimir Putin over long-term alliances. The story explores the threat of Russian aggression expanding beyond Ukraine through hybrid warfare, including drone flights and sabotage, and considers whether a direct armed conflict between Russia and Europe has become a possibility.
This French documentary and history film was directed by Guy Lagache. It is the second film he has directed, following his 2024 work, C'est pour demain. The production was a collaboration between France Télévisions, Elephant Productions, and Mile Production. The cast features several political and military figures appearing as themselves, including NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Admiral Rob Bauer, and former diplomats and ministers such as Ivo Daalder, Margus Tsahkna, Gabrielius Landsbergis, and Gunther Krichbaum. The film has a runtime of 102 minutes.
