This French documentary examines how the grandchildren of Holocaust survivors navigate the trauma and secrets passed down through their families. The film follows four young adults—Camille, Frankie, Théo, and Mathis—as they engage in intimate conversations with their grandparents, some of whom are among the final living witnesses to the Nazi camps. Through these interactions, the subjects explore their inherited history and the weight of the responsibility to keep these memories alive for future generations.
Directed by Joseph Romano and Jonathan Safir, the film was produced by Roche Productions, the CNC, the Ministère des Armées, and the Fondation pour la Mémoire de la Shoah. The cast features survivors Evelyn Askolovitch, Julia Wallach, and Ginette Kolinka, appearing alongside their grandchildren Théo Askolovitch, Frankie Wallach, and Mathis Kolinka. Released on January 21, 2026, the documentary has a runtime of 42 minutes.
