Vieillir et jouir sans entraves

Vieillir et jouir sans entraves is a documentary that examines the social stigma surrounding sexual desire in old age. The film addresses how society often views aging bodies as unattractive and ignores the continued intimacy of adults in their seventies, eighties, and nineties. Through the experiences of public figures and couples, including Jean-Marc and Alain and Francine and Marc, the production explores the intersection of love, illness, and libido. It also looks at efforts to promote sex-positive care and LGBT-friendly housing to support the sexual expression of seniors.

Directed by Dominique Thiéry, this French production was supported by France Télévisions, CNC, and 17 juin média. The film features a narrator and interviewer played by Marina Carrère d'Encausse. The cast includes various personalities appearing as themselves, such as actor and comedian Pierre Arditi, actress and writer Macha Méril, and host Antoine de Caunes. Other contributors include journalist Laure Adler and actor Gérard Hernandez. Released on February 3, 2026, the documentary has a runtime of 65 minutes.
