Sting - Sounds Like Art Rijksmuseum Amsterdam is a music film featuring a concert performed at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Set among the works of artists such as Vermeer, Rembrandt, and Judith Leyster, the performance takes place in the museum's library and the Gallery of Honour. Accompanied by guitarist Dominic Miller, Sting uses a rare 17th-century guitar originally made for the court of Louis XIV. Throughout the event, the musician performs songs from his solo career and with The Police, while discussing the origins of music, his professional history, and his appreciation for literature and the Old Masters.
The film was directed by Florian Breuer. In his filmography, this project follows Laufey: Sounds Like Art - Monet | Munch | Signac from 2024 and precedes The Kooks @ Columbia Theater, Berlin and People You May Know @ Sónar 2025, both released in 2026. The production was a collaboration between several companies, including ZDF, ARTE, and ARTE Concert, and was filmed in the Netherlands, Germany, and the Netherlands Antilles. The final runtime is 68 minutes.
