Short description

The Real You is an animated adventure about a curious cat who sees its reflection in a mirror for the first time. This encounter prompts the animal to travel through a world made of paper to learn more about its own identity.

The short film was written and directed by Ameya Ajay, marking the first of five films she directed in 2026. The production features Cheeze the Cat appearing as himself, with Ajay providing her own voice for the film. This three-minute project began the director's sequence of releases for the year, preceding Negative Space, The Bridge, Silver City, and Nature of the Soul.
