Nicole Nicole is a documentary set in a villa by Lake Geneva, focusing on the complicated relationship between 55-year-old Nicole and her 87-year-old mother, Alberte. The two women are locked in a cycle of codependency driven by a fear of loneliness and a struggle for autonomy. This dynamic shifts when Nicole develops a closer bond with her niece, Lauren, a filmmaker who encourages her to explore her own independence and creative freedom.
The film was directed by Lauren Dällenbach, who also appears in the cast alongside Nicole, Alberte, and Danielle Dällenbach. Produced by Luna Films and Les Films de la Pépinière, this French and Swiss co-production has a runtime of 81 minutes. It was released on April 19, 2026.
