Thanks for Coming

Upcoming documentary Thanks for Coming follows Alain Cavalier as he reflects on his existence as a man and a filmmaker. Through a long-term video diary, the film examines his daily life, his relationship with Françoise, and his interactions with various people. The narrative explores the contrast between the beauty and cruelty of the world, blending observations of nature and animals with the filmmaker's own thoughts on aging and the approach of death.

Written and directed by Alain Cavalier, the French production was created by Caméra One and produced by Michel Seydoux. The cast features Alain Cavalier and Françoise Widhoff appearing as themselves, alongside Vincent Lindon, Nine d'Urso, Emmanuèle Bernheim, and Suzanne Angevin. This 85-minute film is scheduled for release on November 25, 2026.
