Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea

Ash and his friends are travelling through the Battle Frontier when they cross paths with Jackie, a Pokémon Ranger carrying a Manaphy egg. His task is to return it to the Temple of the Sea, a structure built long ago by the People of the Sea and said to hold a treasure called the Sea Crown. A pirate named Phantom wants that treasure for himself, and the egg is the key to reaching it. Ash, Pikachu, Brock, May and Max are joined by Lizabeth, a descendant of the People of the Sea, as they try to keep the egg out of Phantom's hands and complete Jackie's mission.

The film is the thirteenth that Kunihiko Yuyama directed in the series, following Pokémon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew from 2005 and preceding Pokémon: The Rise of Darkrai from 2007. Hideki Sonoda wrote the screenplay, and the voice cast includes Rica Matsumoto as Satoshi, Ikue Otani as Pikachu, Yuji Ueda, KAORI, Fushigi Yamada and Megumi Hayashibara, among 36 credited performers. It was released in July 2006 and runs 105 minutes.

It took about 28 million dollars worldwide. On IMDb it holds 5.9 out of 10 from roughly 3,300 votes, while on TMDB it has 6.5 out of 10 from around 229 votes, so the smaller audience there rates it somewhat more favourably than the larger one on IMDb.
