On New Year's Eve, an exhausted intern named Elizabeth works at a secret government facility that has been largely forgotten. When she detects a signal from another world, she must collaborate with a timid general, a struggling financier, and a mysterious receptionist to provide a response. The situation deteriorates as the characters' hidden agendas come to light, leading to increased conflict among the group.
