Short description
A 20-year-old extreme sports blogger lives as if he's immortal. But he suddenly finds himself trapped in a mysterious time loop with no escape. Only a soldier who died 80 years ago can save him—but only after a young man from the future helps the soldier achieve immortality.
What's left behind the scenes
- The working title is "The Return of Mendysh."
- During filming, the movie crew traveled about 1,000 kilometers along steep mountain roads. Crossing a pass at an altitude of 3,586 meters proved to be a particular challenge; at such a height, even drones struggled to fly.
- Filming took place in Kyrgyzstan and Belarus.
- Actor Goofy Medalin performed all the stunts and complex falls himself.
- To film an explosion that repeated throughout the plot, pyrotechnicians and set designers had to work day and night. They filmed the explosions during the day, and at night they restored everything just to destroy it again.
- The plot is based on the story of Mendysh Omuraliev, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan who died in 1942 during the Battle of Rzhev. His remains were discovered by a search party and returned to his homeland, where the hero was buried with full military honors.
