La primera estrella is a documentary about the Uruguayan national football team and their victory at the 1924 Olympic Games. The film focuses on the team that surprised the global sports community, linking their achievement to the first of the four stars currently featured on the national crest. To tell this story, the production utilizes previously unseen footage and interviews with experts. The narrative is framed by a modern journey led by César Troncoso, who follows the path taken by the athletes during their historic campaign.

The film was written and directed by Guzmán García. Produced in Uruguay, the project was also supported by producers Sebastián Bednarik and Alejandro Danielian. The final runtime of the documentary is 70 minutes. It was released on June 11, 2026.
