Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox

Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox follows Barry Allen, the Flash, who is still haunted by his mother's murder years earlier. Using his speed to travel back in time, he prevents her death, but the change rewrites the present. He wakes into a world at war, one where he no longer has his powers and where familiar heroes have become strangers or enemies. To set things right, he must work with the few allies he can find and undo the damage he caused.

The animated film was directed by Jay Oliva, the seventh of the thirteen features he has directed in chronological order, arriving between Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2 and Batman: The Dark Knight Returns. Jim Krieg wrote the screenplay, James Tucker produced, and the voice cast includes Justin Chambers as Barry Allen, C. Thomas Howell as Professor Zoom, Michael B. Jordan as Cyborg, and Kevin McKidd as Batman, among roughly two dozen credited performers.

Released in 2013 and running eighty-one minutes, the film was made on a budget of about four million dollars. It holds an 8.1 rating on IMDb from around sixty-five thousand votes and a 7.9 on TMDB from roughly two thousand votes, with critics' reviews averaging 7.3. The audience scores sit close to the critics' average, suggesting the adaptation was received about as well by viewers as by reviewers on both platforms.
