The Secret

Marie is a door-to-door encyclopedia salesperson who has been married to Francois for twelve years and has a young son. While her life is generally stable, she feels a sense of emptiness that leads her into a secret physical relationship with Bill, an older African-American man. As the affair progresses, Marie struggles to balance her intense passion for her lover with her responsibilities as a mother and wife. She finds it increasingly difficult to hide her infidelity, leading to a psychological conflict between her domestic life and her impulsive desires.

The film was directed by Virginie Wagon, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Erick Zonca. The cast features Anne Coesens as Marie, Michel Bompoil as Francois, and Tony Todd as Bill. Produced by Les Productions Bagheera, this French drama and romance has a runtime of 107 minutes.
