Oxygen

A woman is abducted and buried alive in a forest, leaving her with only twenty-four hours of oxygen. Detective Madeline Foster is assigned to the case and must track down the kidnapper, who goes by the name Harry Houdini. After the police capture the criminal during a ransom exchange, he refuses to reveal the location of the victim. A psychological game ensues between the two, as the captor attempts to manipulate the unstable and alcoholic detective while time runs out for the buried woman.

Directed and written by Richard Shepard, this 1999 crime thriller is the second film in his career, following Inside Out 4. The movie stars Maura Tierney as the detective and Adrien Brody as Harry, with supporting roles played by James Naughton, Laila Robins, Terry Kinney, and Paul Calderon. It was produced by Richard Shepard, Carole Curb Nemoy, and Mike Curb.

The film received a moderate reception from viewers and critics. It holds a 6/10 rating on IMDb based on 5,000 votes and a 6.1/10 on TMDB from 98 votes. Film critics gave the movie a slightly higher rating of 6.6/10 based on 13 reviews.
