The Fiend

The Fiend is a British horror film centered on the descent of Kenny Wemys into religious madness. Influenced by a controlling sect known as the Brethren and his mother, Birdy, Kenny begins murdering women he perceives as sinful. He records the screams of his victims on tape to be used during the sect's rituals. This double life as a lifeguard and a killer begins to unravel when a nurse grows suspicious of the household and enlists the help of her journalist sister to investigate.

Directed by Robert Hartford-Davis, this was the third film in the director's career, following Corruption and Black Gunn. He also served as the producer, while the screenplay was written by Brian Comport. The film features a cast including Ann Todd, Patrick Magee, and Tony Beckley.
