Short description
One of the world's biggest bands returns to the scene of their Live Aid triumph (one year earlier in 1985) to play all their greatest hits in front of a packed Wembley Stadium.
What's left behind the scenes
- The concert was filmed using video cameras, which was quite unusual for professional concert filming – in the 1980s, film cameras were used for this purpose.
- The concert at London's Wembley Stadium took place in July 1986. It was part of the Magic Tour, the band's largest world tour in support of the album 'A Kind of Magic' and the final tour of the classic lineup, which included Freddie Mercury (1946-1991), Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon. The final concert featuring Mercury took place shortly thereafter near the village of Nabworth in Hertfordshire (one of the UK's primary venues for large-scale open-air pop and rock concerts). A year later, Mercury was diagnosed with AIDS, and the band stopped touring.
