A Vatican team travels to a remote church in the British West Country to look into reports of paranormal activity. Two investigators, the experienced Deacon and a cameraman named Gray, set up monitoring equipment throughout the building, initially suspecting that the troubled local priest may be staging the incidents himself. What they record proves harder to explain than they expected.
The film is a British horror feature written and directed by Elliot Goldner, marking his debut behind the camera, and produced by Jennifer Handorf. Gordon Kennedy and Robin Hill lead the cast as Deacon and Gray, with Aidan McArdle, Luke Neal, Patrick Godfrey and Marcus Cunningham among the supporting players; thirty-nine actors are credited in total.
Made for a modest budget and running eighty-nine minutes, the film was released in March 2014 and drew little attention at the box office. On IMDb it holds 5.8 out of 10 across roughly thirteen thousand votes, while on TMDB it sits at 5.5 from a much smaller pool of around three hundred users. A critics' score of 7.1 from eighteen reviews is noticeably stronger than those viewer figures, suggesting the film found more favour with reviewers than with the wider audience that has since discovered it.
