Short description
A Chinese Odyssey Part Two: Cinderella follows a man known as Joker, the reincarnation of the Monkey King, who becomes trapped five hundred years in the past. To save the dying Pak Jing-Jing, he must fight against powerful villains, seductive women, and various monsters. The story is an adaptation of the Buddhist saga Journey to the West and serves as a sequel to Pandora's Box.
The film was directed by Jeff Lau Chun-Wai, who also co-wrote the screenplay. In his directorial career, this movie follows All for the Winner and The Eagle Shooting Heroes. The cast features Stephen Chow in the dual role of Joker and the Monkey King, alongside Ng Man-tat, Athena Chu, Ada Choi, Yammie Lam Kit-Ying, and Karen Mok Man-Wai.
Produced by Xi'an Film Studio and Color Star Films in Hong Kong and China, the movie earned 3 million USD at the worldwide box office. It has been well received by viewers, maintaining a rating of 7.8/10 on IMDb from 9,500 votes and a 7.7/10 on TMDB based on 272 votes.

- The script is based on the true story of criminal Peter Chan, who turned to Christianity after a severe stabbing in 1973, left the gang, and became actively involved in public service. In 1987, the Hong Kong Youth Affairs Agency included Peter in the top ten most outstanding representatives of the young generation of Hong Kong. Peter Chan served as a consultant on this film. It is also worth noting that a film, "All's Well, Ends Well", was already made based on his story in 1995.
