Rurouni Kenshin Part II: Kyoto Inferno

Kenshin Himura has found a peaceful life with Kaoru and several friends, remaining committed to a vow never to use a sword again. However, the Meiji government requests his help to stop Makoto Shishio, a former assassin who survived a betrayal and an attempt to burn him alive. Shishio is now in Kyoto, where he leads a group of warriors plotting to overthrow the government and take control of Japan. Despite the objections of Kaoru, Kenshin reluctantly agrees to travel to Kyoto to prevent the country from returning to civil war.

Directed by Keishi Otomo, this action and fantasy drama follows Rurouni Kenshin Part I: Origins in his filmography.
