Aachi & Ssipak

Set in a future where all traditional fuel has been exhausted, humanity relies on human excrement as its sole energy source. The government monitors production through implanted sensors and rewards citizens with addictive, laxative-like treats called Juicybars. Two street hoodlums, Aachi and Ssipak, survive by trading these bars on the black market. Their lives change when they encounter an aspiring actress, leading to a conflict involving government forces, a cyborg, and a gang of mutants.

Directed by Jo Beom-jin, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Kang Sang-kyun and Jeong Hye-won, this South Korean animated comedy blends action, adventure, and science fiction. The voice cast features Ryoo Seung-bum as Aachi and Im Chang-jung as Ssispak, alongside Hyun Young, Shin Hae-chul, Yang Jeong-hwa, and Seo Hye-jeong.

The film was produced by KTB Network, OCN, Tube Entertainment, and J Team with a budget of 4 million USD. It has received generally positive feedback from viewers, holding a rating of 6.7/10 on IMDb based on 2,000 votes and a 6.3/10 on TMDB from 64 votes.
