Doogal

Doogal is a 2006 animated family adventure about a sweet-toothed mongrel who sets out to rescue his world from an evil magician. In the enchanted land where he lives, the villain Zeebad has cast a spell that freezes the countryside and its inhabitants in endless winter. Doogal and a small group of unlikely companions — among them a cow, a rabbit and a snail — take on the task of stopping him and undoing the curse, aided by a train that carries them into their magical journey. The film was directed by Frank Passingham, Dave Borthwick and Jean Duval, all of whom had previously directed The Magic Roundabout, released a year earlier. The screenplay is credited to Cory Edwards, Tad Safran and Butch Hartman, and the voice cast includes Daniel Tay as Doogal, Jimmy Fallon, Jon Stewart, Whoopi Goldberg, William H. Macy and Bill Hader.

Made across the United Kingdom, the United States and France by production companies including The Weinstein Company, Canal+, Pathé and the UK Film Council, the film runs 77 minutes. Against a budget of about 20 million dollars, it took roughly 27 million dollars worldwide.
