Abattoir

Julia Talben, a real estate agent, is left reeling when her sister and nephew are murdered. Returning to the house where her family died, she finds that the room in which the killings took place has been removed and taken away. With help from her ex-boyfriend, Detective Grady, Julia begins to investigate, and learns that the same thing has happened in other homes where terrible crimes occurred. The trail leads to Jebediah Crone, a strange man who has been buying up such properties for a purpose of his own.

Darren Lynn Bousman directed the film, working from a screenplay by Christopher Monfette. It was Bousman's eighth feature as director, following Saw II, Saw III, Saw IV, Repo! The Genetic Opera, Mother's Day and his segment of Tales of Halloween, and it arrived between that anthology entry and St. Agatha. Jessica Lowndes plays Julia, with Joe Anderson as Grady, Dayton Callie as Jebediah Crone, Lin Shaye as Allie, Michael Paré as Richard Renshaw and Bryan Batt as Chester. Brent C. Johnson and Jesse Berger produced.
