Blind Horizon

A man is found near death in the desert of New Mexico with a gunshot wound to the head and no memory of who he is. In the hospital of a small town, a woman named Chloe Richards identifies him as her fiancé, Frank Kavanaugh, but she cannot restore what he has lost. Fragments return slowly, and among them is a conviction that an attempt will be made on the life of the President of the United States. No one takes the warning seriously, so Frank begins investigating on his own. As more pieces surface, the picture grows less clear, and Chloe appears to be hiding more than she admits.

Blind Horizon is a 2003 drama, mystery and thriller directed by Michael Haussman, who also directed Edge of the World, and written by F. Paul Benz and Steve Tomlin. Val Kilmer plays Frank Kavanaugh, with Neve Campbell as Chloe Richards, Sam Shepard as Sheriff Jack Kolb, Amy Smart, Gil Bellows and Noble Willingham in supporting roles.

The production had a budget of about five million dollars. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.5/10 from roughly 5,200 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 5.9/10 from around 124 votes. The larger IMDb sample points to a mixed response rather than a strong one.
