The Land Before Time VIII: The Big Freeze

An unexpected ice storm brings snow to the Great Valley for the first time, creating a threat to the survival of the resident dinosaurs. Because food is scarce, the largest dinosaurs volunteer to leave the area. This includes Spike, who decides to travel with a herd of his own species. When other young dinosaurs and an adult named Mr. Thicknose realize their friend is gone, they embark on a dangerous journey into the unknown to find him and bring him home.

Directed and produced by Charles Grosvenor, this animated family adventure is the eighth installment in the series. It follows his work on the fifth, sixth, and seventh entries and precedes his direction of six subsequent films in the franchise. The voice cast features Thomas Dekker as Littlefoot, Anndi McAfee as Cera, Jeff Bennett as Petrie, and Rob Paulsen as Spike. The production was a collaboration between Universal Cartoon Studios in the United States and Wang Film Productions in Taiwan.

The film has a runtime of 75 minutes. Audience reception is moderate, with a rating of 5.7 on IMDb based on 3,000 votes and a slightly higher score of 6.1 on TMDB from 263 votes.
