A violent thief known as Crocodile lives under a bridge by the Han River in Seoul with an old man and a young boy. He survives through scams and by stealing valuables from people who attempt suicide in the river. The situation changes when Crocodile saves a young woman from drowning. Despite his abusive behavior toward her, she remains with the group, and they form an unconventional family unit characterized by a mixture of affection and brutality.
Directed and written by Kim Ki-duk, this drama was the first of 13 films he directed, followed by Birdcage Inn in 1998. The movie stars Cho Jae-hyun in the title role alongside Jeon Moo-song, An Jae-hong, and Woo Yun-kyeong. Produced by Joyoung Films, the movie has a runtime of 102 minutes.
