Set in 14th-century England, this mystery follows a fugitive priest who joins a traveling troupe of actors. Upon arriving in a small town, the group discovers that a woman has been sentenced to death for witchcraft and murder. Rather than performing their usual biblical plays, the actors decide to stage a production based on the local crime. Through this performance, they attempt to uncover the truth behind the killing and reveal the actual culprit.
