Garfield's Fun Fest

Garfield's Fun Fest is an animated family comedy from 2008. Garfield has won the annual Fun Fest talent competition for twenty-nine years running, but this year a charming new contestant named Ramone threatens his streak. When Garfield fears he has lost his comic touch, he sets off with his friends in search of a legendary pond belonging to Freddy Frog, said to make anyone who drinks from it funny. The film was directed by Mark A.Z. Dippé, whose earlier animated feature Garfield Gets Real introduced this version of the character, and who returned for the later Garfield's Pet Force. Jim Davis, the creator of the comic strip, wrote the screenplay. Frank Welker voices Garfield, with Tim Conway as Freddy Frog and the narrator, Gregg Berger as Odie, Wally Wingert as Jon Arbuckle and Audrey Wasilewski as Arlene. Produced by Davis Entertainment, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, Paws, Inc. and Animation Picture Company as a United States and Korea co-production, it runs seventy-nine minutes. Its worldwide box office came to about three million dollars, a modest return. On IMDb it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 10 from roughly 1,100 votes, while on TMDB it has 5 out of 10 from a much smaller number of votes.
