Set in Paris before the First World War, this horror film explores the origins of Andre Toulon. After meeting an Egyptian sorcerer named Afzel, Toulon learns a secret method for transferring the souls of the deceased into inanimate objects. Using this power, he brings his puppets to life to protect a woman he loves and to confront the forces of the dark god Sutekh. The narrative includes a framing story from 1944, where an older Toulon hides from Nazis near the Swiss border and recalls his past.

The screenplay was written by Neal Marshall Stevens and produced by Kirk Edward Hansen and Vlad Păunescu. The cast features Greg Sestero as the younger Andre Toulon and Guy Rolfe as the older version of the character, alongside Brigitta Dau, Stephen Blackehart, Jack Donner, and Robert Radoveanu. In total, 24 actors are credited in the production.
