The ChubbChubbs!

The ChubbChubbs! is a short animated film about Meeper, a janitor at a bar on the planet Glorf who spends his shifts dreaming of a singing career. When he gets caught up in one of his fantasies, he causes an accident and is thrown out of the club. He then learns that strange and dangerous creatures known as ChubbChubbs are heading toward the patrons, and he tries to warn them.

The film runs five minutes and mixes comedy, music and science fiction in a family-friendly package. It was directed by Eric Armstrong from a screenplay by Jeff Wolverton, with Jacquie Barnbrook producing. Bradford Simonsen voices Meeper, while Jeff Wolverton provides the ChubbChubbs' voice. The cast also includes Dustin Adair, Eric Armstrong and Yakov Baytler as Glorf.

Released in July 2002, the short earned an IMDb rating of 7.2 from roughly 4,400 votes, while its TMDB rating stands at 6.8 from a much smaller pool of 99 votes. The gap in vote counts suggests the film is better known among the IMDb audience than on TMDB, though both scores point to a generally favourable response.
