Master and Servant

A greedy master named Tatos hires servants under a strict agreement: if either the employer or the employee becomes angry before the first cuckoo calls in spring, the one who loses their temper forfeits everything. After the hardworking Manas is driven to quit without pay, his clever younger brother Simon takes his place. Unlike his brother, Simon uses trickery and laziness to provoke Tatos, attempting to make the master lose his patience and trigger the contract's penalty.
