Werewolf of London

Werewolf of London is a horror fantasy about Dr. Wilfred Glendon, a botanist who travels to Tibet in search of a rare plant that blooms only in moonlight. During the expedition he is attacked and bitten by a strange creature. He returns to London with a specimen of the plant, and there he is visited by Dr. Yogami, a fellow scientist who shows great interest in it and claims they met in Tibet. Yogami explains that the plant can hold off the effects of lycanthropy, but only temporarily, and warns that a werewolf is loose in the city. Glendon, absorbed in his botanical work, drifts from his wife Lisa, who takes comfort in the company of an old friend, Paul Ames. He comes to realise that the bite has left him transformed, and that on nights of the full moon he becomes a creature driven to kill.

Stuart Walker directed, from a screenplay by John Colton and Edmund Pearson. Henry Hull plays Glendon, with Warner Oland as Yogami, Valerie Hobson as Lisa, Lester Matthews as Paul, Lawrence Grant as Sir Thomas Forsythe and Spring Byington as Ettie Coombes. Universal Pictures released the 75-minute film in 1935.

It drew a film critics' rating of 6.4 out of 10 from 13 reviews, while on TMDB it holds 6.1 out of 10 from 155 votes, indicating roughly comparable reception from critics and viewers.
