Losing Isaiah

A struggling single mother battling drug addiction accidentally leaves her infant in a trash bin. The child is subsequently taken in and adopted by a social worker and her husband. After completing rehabilitation and establishing a stable life, the biological mother discovers her son is alive and initiates a legal battle for custody. The conflict centers on which woman is better suited to raise the boy as he faces the possibility of being separated from his primary caregiver.

Directed by Stephen Gyllenhaal, this American drama was the fourth film in his career, following A Dangerous Woman.
