Roadblock

Joe Peters is an insurance investigator in Los Angeles whose life changes when he meets Diane Morley, a woman with expensive tastes. Realizing his salary cannot keep up with the lifestyle she expects, he turns to crime to raise money quickly, a decision that pulls him into a scheme involving a large sum and a criminal crew. What begins as a way to hold on to her increasingly puts his career and his freedom at risk.

Harold Daniels directed the film from a screenplay by Steve Fisher and George Bricker, with Lewis J. Rachmil producing for RKO Radio Pictures. Charles McGraw plays Joe opposite Joan Dixon as Diane, and the supporting cast includes Lowell Gilmore, Louis Jean Heydt, Milburn Stone and Joseph Crehan, among a credited cast of 41. The film runs 73 minutes and was released on September 17, 1951.
