Night Moves
Short description
Arthur Penn directed Night Moves, a crime drama from 1975 starring Gene Hackman as Harry Moseby, a former professional football player who now works as a private detective in Los Angeles. Hired by an aging Hollywood actress to track down her runaway daughter, Harry heads to Florida, where the search draws him into a wider circle involving the girl, stunt work and people connected to an unsolved death. His marriage is already strained, and the case pushes him further into doubt about his own life.
The screenplay is by Alan Sharp, produced by Robert M. Sherman for Warner Bros. Pictures with Layton Productions and Hiller Productions. - Melanie Griffith turned 16 on August 9, 1973. Filming began in October 1973. Work on the film was interrupted for several months so that the actress could reach the required age (18 years old). During the break, they worked on editing, waiting to film Griffith in nude scenes and insert them into the film after the interruption. The film premiered in March 1975.
