In the Lost Lands

In the Lost Lands is a fantasy adventure set in a world where technology has collapsed and magic has returned. A queen, desperate to win the love she longs for, hires the feared sorceress Gray Alys to travel into the Lost Lands and bring back a magical power that can turn a person into a werewolf. Alys sets out with a drifter named Boyce, who serves as her guide, and the two must fight their way past human enemies and demonic creatures. Alys alone understands that every wish she grants carries consequences.

The film is directed by Paul W. S. Anderson, the fourteenth of fourteen films he has directed in chronological order, following Monster Hunter. Constantin Werner wrote the screenplay and produced alongside Jeremy Bolt and Anderson. Milla Jovovich plays Gray Alys and Dave Bautista plays Boyce, with Arly Jover, Amara Okereke, Fraser James and Simon Lööf in supporting roles. It was released in February 2025 and runs 101 minutes.

Made for a budget of 55 million dollars, the film returned about 5 million dollars worldwide. On IMDb it holds a rating of 4.7 from roughly 16,000 votes, while on TMDB its rating is 6.4 from about 883 votes, a notably warmer response from that audience. A critics' rating of 3.8 from 76 reviews places it below both audience scores.
