Storks

Storks takes its premise from the old story of birds carrying newborns to their parents, then moves it into a world where that practice has long since stopped. The storks now work for a large online retail company, flying parcels instead of babies, and Junior is the outfit's fastest courier, on the verge of a promotion. When a baby-making machine is set running again and produces a girl nobody ordered, Junior and Tulip, the only human at the storks' mountain headquarters, set out to deliver her before their boss finds out. The journey raises the question of whether the birds might return to their original purpose.

The film was directed by Doug Sweetland and Nicholas Stoller, with Stoller writing the screenplay and producing alongside Brad Lewis. It followed Sweetland's short Presto and arrived between Stoller's Neighbors and Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising. Andy Samberg voices Junior, Katie Crown voices Tulip, and Kelsey Grammer, Jennifer Aniston, Ty Burrell and Anton Starkman are among the voice cast. Made for about 70 million dollars, it earned roughly 182 million worldwide. On IMDb it holds 6.8 from some 72,000 votes and on TMDB 6.7 from about 2,600, while the critics' rating stands lower at 6.1 across 138 reviews.
