Cruella

Set in a punk-era London, Cruella follows Estella, a clever and creative young grifter who dreams of making a name for herself as a fashion designer. She teams up with two small-time thieves, Jasper and Horace, and the trio scrapes by on the streets of the capital. Estella's designs eventually draw the attention of the Baroness von Hellman, a powerful figure in the fashion world, and her move into the Baroness's orbit sets off a chain of events and revelations that push her toward the ruthless, revenge-driven persona known as Cruella de Vil.

The film was directed by Craig Gillespie, arriving between I, Tonya and Dumb Money in his filmography, from a screenplay by Dana Fox and Tony McNamara. Emma Stone plays Estella and her alter ego, with Emma Thompson as the Baroness, alongside Joel Fry, Paul Walter Hauser, John McCrea and Emily Beecham. Glenn Close, Marc Platt and Andrew Gunn produced, and the film is a Walt Disney Pictures release running 134 minutes.
