Seth works at an animal shelter, where he keeps to himself and leads a quiet, unremarkable life. A chance encounter with Holly, a waitress he once had feelings for in high school, pulls him out of his routine and turns into an obsession. His attempts to get close to her go nowhere, and he eventually abducts her, holding her in a cage in the shelter's basement. What follows is a dark, confined struggle between the two, in which the roles of captor and captive become harder to pin down.
Carles Torrens directed the film, his second feature after Apartment 143 and one made in the middle stretch of a filmography that continues with entries in the ABCs of Death series and the Apocalypse Z films. Jeremy Slater wrote the screenplay, and Dominic Monaghan plays Seth opposite Ksenia Solo as Holly, with Jennette McCurdy, Da'Vone McDonald, Nathan Parsons and Janet Song in supporting parts.
Released in 2016 and running 94 minutes, the film is a Spanish-American horror thriller. It drew a 5.2 rating from 18 critics and sits at 5.9 on TMDB across roughly 750 votes, with the audience score running somewhat above the critical one.
