Set in Nîmes during a hot summer, this comedy follows a group of five young boys who develop a collective crush on a girl named Bernadette. Driven by jealousy toward her boyfriend, Gérard, the children engage in persistent spying and play increasingly aggressive pranks to disrupt the couple's relationship. After Gérard harshly punishes one of the boys for spying, the group schemes to make Bernadette question her partner's affection for her.
