Blunt Force Trauma

Blunt Force Trauma is an action drama centered on John and Colt, two gunfighters who share a romantic relationship while navigating a secret society of illegal duels. Operating within an underground network across South America, these modern warriors wear bulletproof vests to engage in high-stakes shootouts for wealth and status. While they travel from one arena to another, their motivations differ; Colt seeks revenge for her brother's death, and John aims to face the champion known as Zorringer. Their journey forces them to balance their personal feelings against the violent nature of their profession.

The film was written and directed by Ken Sanzel, marking the first of two listed directorial efforts before his 2019 project Kill Chain. The cast features Ryan Kwanten as John, Freida Pinto as Colt, and Mickey Rourke as Zorringer, with supporting roles played by Maruia Shelton, Carolina Gómez, and Rubén Zamora. Produced in Colombia by Voltage Pictures and ETA films, the movie was made with a budget of 1 million USD. Audience reception has been mixed, as reflected by a 4.6 rating on IMDb from 2,000 votes and a 5 rating on TMDB from 94 votes.
