Timecode

Timecode is set in Los Angeles, largely around a film production company preparing to cast its next feature. An aspiring actress, Rose, wants a screen test from the producer Alex Green, with whom she is involved, while his wife Emma has learned of the affair and is preparing to leave him. Rose's wealthy and jealous girlfriend, Lauren, watches her from a limousine and monitors her by phone, intent on wrecking the relationship. The four narrative strands were each shot in a single continuous take and are presented simultaneously, dividing the screen into quarters.

Mike Figgis directed, wrote and produced the film, which followed Leaving Las Vegas in his filmography. The large credited cast of 27 includes Saffron Burrows, Salma Hayek and Stellan Skarsgård among its principal players, along with Xander Berkeley, Golden Brooks and Jeanne Tripplehorn.

Made for about 5 million US dollars, the film returned roughly 1 million worldwide. On IMDb it holds 6 out of 10 from around 7,300 votes, while on TMDB it has 5.6 out of 10 from about 100 votes.
