Short description

An outgoing parrot named Tuesday lives on a tropical island with a group of eccentric animal friends. While he enjoys his paradise, Tuesday longs to explore the wider world. Following a severe storm, the animals discover a human named Robinson Crusoe washed up on the beach. While the animals are initially wary of the stranger, Tuesday sees the shipwrecked man as a way to leave the island, and Crusoe views the animals as essential for his survival. Despite a language barrier, they form a close bond and eventually work together to defend their home against two aggressive cats attempting to seize control of the island.

Directed by Vincent Kesteloot, this animated adventure follows his 2012 film A Turtle's Tale 2: Sammy's Escape from Paradise and precedes The Queen's Corgi from 2019. The voice cast includes Matthias Schweighöfer as Robinson Crusoe and Kaya Yanar as the parrot Tuesday, alongside Ilka Bessin, Dieter Hallervorden, Aylin Tezel, and Ron Allen. Produced by StudioCanal, Summit Entertainment, nWave Pictures, and Illuminata Pictures, the film had a budget of 14 million USD and earned 40 million USD at the worldwide box office. Audience reception is mixed, with a rating of 5.4/10 on IMDb from 7,000 votes and 5.8/10 on TMDB from 370 votes. These viewers rated the film higher than critics, who gave it a score of 4.1/10 based on 57 reviews.
