Frank and Nancy Teagarten have been living well beyond their means in a large house, proud that their only daughter is heading off to college. When their money runs out, they try to keep the truth from her and from the friends and neighbors around them. What begins as a cover-up turns into a string of increasingly reckless schemes, many of them carried out while drinking. Alec Baldwin and Salma Hayek Pinault play the couple, with Joe Manganiello, Treat Williams, Michelle Veintimilla and Natalia Cigliuti in supporting roles.
Fred Wolf directed and co-wrote the screenplay with Peter Gaulke. It was Wolf's fifth film as director, following The House Bunny and Strange Wilderness in 2008, Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser in 2015 and Mad Families in 2017, and it came before 40-Love in 2021. Robert Ogden Barnum and Aaron L. Gilbert produced the comedy, which runs 97 minutes and was made by Bron Studios, Creative Wealth Media Finance and Fortitude International.
The film opened in February 2019 to a weak response. With roughly 8,300 votes, it holds a rating of 4 out of 10 on IMDb, and on TMDB it sits at 4.5 out of 10 from about 260 votes, so viewers on both platforms rate it poorly.
