Bruce Lee: A Warrior's Journey

Bruce Lee: A Warrior's Journey is a documentary about the martial artist and actor Bruce Lee, made by John Little, a longtime admirer of his work. It traces Lee's life and career while paying particular attention to Game of Death, the film he was directing, producing and starring in when he died in 1973, leaving it unfinished. Through interviews and behind-the-scenes material, the film sketches a portrait of Lee as a performer and teacher, drawing on the recollections of people close to him.

Those appearing on screen include his widow Linda Lee Cadwell, his early student Taky Kimura, the Hapkido instructor Ji Han-Jae and his friend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The documentary builds toward a reconstruction of the action sequence Lee had planned for Game of Death, assembled from his notes and footage that had been recovered, and presented as he had intended it rather than as it appeared in the version completed after his death. Little directed and co-wrote the film with Bey Logan, and produced it with Lee Taek-yong and Chris Ennis. It was released in 2000 and runs 100 minutes. On IMDb it holds a rating of 8 out of 10 from around 3,400 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 7.3 out of 10 from roughly 109 votes, indicating a strong response from a relatively small audience.
